For those who can't wait for spring and summer to come but must feel that they are on a beach, an indoor beach is what you need. Some lounge chairs can be rented out and they have beach party themes. They will rent for different prices, depending where you live.
Some places, such as malls have indoor water parks with artificial sand beaches. Some indoor water parks even have some pools with a simulated tide. Some of these places can be rented, or part of a party space they have can be rented. If neither of these ideas suite you because they are to public and non-personal, you can have the atmosphere at home without the water. You will need to decorate with sea shells, some plants, some sand in boxes decorated like treasure chests and add starfish and oyster shells to this. This will give you the smell of the beach.
Add some lanterns and patio tables with umbrellas to sit at with fancy little beach drink glasses filled, of course, with little umbrellas, fruit and straws. You can purchase tapes that have the sound of waves and seagulls, as well as the sound of people and boats on the water, which adds a bit of background. Finally, bright sun lamps above can make the air hot like on a beach.
Music and clothes take care of themselves, too. Provide upbeat, summer-oriented, like the soundtrack to Grease and The Beach Boys. For those who have a preference for modern pop music, you can use other summer-oriented alternatives.
